Referral Bonus 
BRBH provides a referral bonus program to encourage employees to refer qualified candidates for employment. The agency will pay an employee a $500 referral bonus if a referred candidate is hired into a full-time or part-time position, provided the new hire remains successfully employed through the first six months of their provisionary period. The referral bonus is subject to all applicable taxes.

Application Information
Employment Opportunities

Please be sure to follow the guidelines below in completing your Application for Employment so that your application may be given full consideration.

  1. To be considered for an available posted position, a completed BRBH application is required. Applications are accepted during normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm), or may be deposited after hours in the front door mail slot or mailed to Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare, Department of Human Resources, 301 Elm Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
     
  2. All sections of the application form must be completed in order for it to receive consideration. A resume may be included.
     
  3. Your application must indicate a currently posted position title and position number in order to be accepted. Your application will be given consideration for the position title and number indicated on your application. Photocopied applications with original signature will be accepted for multiple jobs for which you are applying.
     
  4. Included on each application is a request for information regarding the applicant's race, sex, age, education and referral source. Provision of this information is voluntary and answers to these questions are strictly for record keeping purposes, in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This section of the application will be detached upon receipt and filed separately.
     
  5. If during the application/interview process you require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, please indicate your need for accommodation when you are contacted for an interview.
     
  6. You will receive a notice from the Department of Human Resources that your application has been received.

Background Checks

Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare will conduct background checks with the applicant's authorization. Any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory background checks that are conducted through The Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry of the Virginia Department of Social Services and other social services departments, the Virginia State Police or the state police of the applicant's former state(s) of residence, and the Central Criminal Records Exchange of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
